Line Shafts

These shafts were made for a company in Northwest Indiana.

Specifications

Materials:: The shaft material was a forging of 4340 Pre-Hardened to 320 Brinnell. Bearing housings were made from a medium carbon plate burned to size.

Size:: The OD of the shaft is 8" x 23' long. The bearing boxes were machined from burned plate ranging from 6" to 12" thick. The shafts have keyways milled in various locations. The shafts were sent assembled, ready to be installed by the customer.
Quantities:: The order was for 2 pieces which we supplied to the customer. In addition to the shafts, we also machined and assembled 17 rolls that the shaft drives.
